Photography Equipment

Post by Nicotti »

Just saw this today: the Lume Cube 2.0

Looks good.
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Have you had any experience with the first model?

No, but from what I've heard it's fairly good too.

The major complaints are: you have to unscrew a cover to get to the charging port and it only lasts 25 min at max brightness.

A buddy of mine likes those for cine work to give a blown out center quick fall off look for his spooky movies he likes to make.
I like a bit more diffused light so I get a lightwand from Wal-Mart for 14$. It's got a flashlight spot at the tip, and a COB led down the side that has bright AF, low light, and red. Harbor Frieght sells a cheaper version without the spot and red for 8$.
I like to use flashes but these lights work well when 'splorin without weight.
We went to different schools together.

Oooh.. this is relevant to my interests. I was just looking around for a better source of light when photographing dark places. My flash works great but smaller and lighter is better. Thanks for sharing.
