RE: Most disturbing thing you've found exploring
We found some kind of rock circle fire pit alter thing with the zodaic and various sayings written in greek on the walls in a quarry. I translated the greek and had my translations confirmed by a greek orthodox priest. It said something along the lines of "Monument of the (or for the) Spirit" and "Celebrate the mysteries". There were also some other really weird drawings like of a horse and something that looksed like george washington. Also, in the photographs there was a rams head that we (I) never saw whist looking at it, but showed up fine in the photo most likely due to the flash

It is always spooky to come across other people when you think you are alone. Like in a cave and you round a corner and someone is standing there. Makes you jump!

RE: Most disturbing thing you've found exploring
That happened to me a few days ago as I was leaving Cliff Cave in St. Louis. There were fellow tresspassers coming into the cave, and when I realized they weren't authorities, I made sure to come around a corner quickly. I'm sure I scared them so bad they evacuated their bowels.
You know you wanna look:

I think it would be better to sit in the dark and make sounds. Make them paranoid. Maybe follow them and throw a rock against a wall every so often.

All I have to say is the Jordan Creek Tunnel incident... Ask Underdog and Keetz about that one...

Re: Most disturbing thing you
Ok, most disturbing thing I have found? Along with piplnr, hiccup, willard and shadowbearer...was that stuff in hell's church in the jordan creek tunnel. That was not the place I expected to find crayons, barbie dolls that looked played with, that kid's i.d. card. The old clothes and stuff were fine, but when piplnr started poking around in that pile of clothes I was afraid there would be some sort of feral child lurking in there or something. I'm sorry, but just thinking of a child playing down there, or even just someone with a child's mentality...that just weirded me out a little.
