Hey, I'm back. I know it's been a while (I seem to recall promising updates on something like a bi-weekly basis), but I've been busy with all the travelling and neck-breaking lately.
As the title implies, I was lucky enough to get to explore some of Fantastic Caverns on foot, unhindered by tour guides or maruading Jeeps. While I only actually saw about half of the cave (it's a double-decker, and I stuck to the "ground" floor), I did manage to cover about twice as much ground as I would have on the dreaded tour.
Anyway, I've done a little write-up of some of the things you missed on your 5th grade class trip, along with lots of pictures. The link is in my profile, but here it is anyway: http://undergroundozarks.com/blog/sertile/index.php
Enjoy!

So just how did you manae this one? Think you could manage it again I would love to check it out on foot!
They called it domesticated, tamed, feminized ... is there a pill I can take to get rid of it??
