RE: Haunted Hitchcock House

Post by Violent Ray »

I thought the directions were alright i found it ok. I took a trip up there today it was ok other than the fact that we passed it once. So we went up the graveled hill because we were confused on where it was at. There were a few people on horses we asked them if they knew where it was and they were like " Wwhat do you want to know where that is " and i told them that i was doing a research artical for the Newspaper on old houses in the ozarks so after going though all that we went back down the hill to the gravel spot like it says on the post above and barely seen it from all the trees in the way. When we went up there tho it looked like it had been burned or tryed to been burned and there were also gas cans that were by the house. I took a few pictures ill post them as soon as i get them uploaded.

jessmister2006's directions sucked ass. We looked forever for that house.
My directions were just fine. I told you you couldn't see it well. BTW read about the "gas" cans and went up there sunday to check it out. wasn't gas in those cans hope yall didn't mess with em. and about the extremist hate groups.....quite possibly probably shouldn't go up there on that circle. sorry i wasn't on to get the msg that you all were coming. :(

if you're talking about the shelter in the pasture then yes an old tornado shelter for a house that used to stand within 10 yards of the shelter but you can't tell it was there really now. and yeah meth lab was my best guess and they're are some crazy fockers around this area. not familiar with the shed may go check it out saturday afternoon.

What kind of condition is the house in? Is it safe to walk through or did you feel like you were going to fall through the floor at any moment?

I put a map below... Directions got me that far.. can you pick out where it is on there? Am I in the right spot?

It has been about 4 years since this article was posted. Does anyone have any idea if the house is still there. Any updated information would be great. Thank you.
