Good restaurants in/around kc?
Re: Good restaurants in/around kc?
The last time I went to a Riverboat in KC the smoke was so frickin' thick you could've just ate that. Actually, I guess we did eat it. You just missed Billy Ray Cyrus at Buffalo Run Casino down by Miami (Oklahoma).

But maybe they were having an inner-city outreach program that day. Viper, on the other hand, thinks that it's better than Vegas casinos and has the best buffet ever. We're debating going there this Sunday. Comments?
Didnt say better. I said that its about as close to a vegas type casino as you can get in this area.

If you're still in Tulsa you should try Elmer's on Brookside (S Peoria) or Wilson's on 11th. Since you like Rib Crib, you might like Billy Sims. The one I went to was on 51st and Sheridan, it's kinda hidden but it's in the shopping center with the gray trim, towards the back. It is sorta bland, but a whole lot better than Rib Crib. Get it to go unless you can stomach OU memorabilia pasted everywhere there is a flat area.Scout wrote:I will say this...I'd rather eat at Los Cabos than Rib Crib. I'm going to the big gunshow at Tulsa tomorrow and I may just eat there, even though it costs me a $50 every time. Those Ribs and Fajitas are excellent. How's come Weber's on 79th closed? I loved that place. The other one is too hard to turn into and is never open.

Not still there. We used to live about 80 miles north of Tulsa but moved and now are about 150 miles away. I'd much rather go to Tulsa than Kansas City to shop, but KC is only 100 now, as is Joplin which is our usual destination. Thanks for the recommendations.

There are a lot of great things about the Midwest...food ain't one of 'em; but that's a generalization. I've never been to KC so I shouldn't talk shit.

You owe it to yourself to try some KC bbq at least once. It's as good as anything I've ever eaten.redox wrote:There are a lot of great things about the Midwest...food ain't one of 'em; but that's a generalization. I've never been to KC so I shouldn't talk shit.
