local trespassing laws

Post by gothstone »

Obviously the idea is not to get caught, but if you are what are the local laws? Does anyone know the max fine, max jail time, etc? Anyone know the common fines?

Kansas has never charged anyone with tresspassing if there wasn't a "No Trespassing" sign. Different story with Missouri.

Then I think they spend hours on minutia like "Well, his shoelace was more on this side of the street", and break out the Civil Engineers to re-survey the state borders going down the middle of the street. Or not.

LOL! Sorry my earlyer post was so bitchy. I had just got off the phone with a friend who was going exploring with me tonight. He's from Canada, and been here over a year. Doen't work, or break any other laws, so no one really cares. he's afraid that if he gets caught somewhere they will deport him. Stupid laws suck.

I went on google and looked for the laws. i didnt find out much other than in missouri light purple paint is the same as a no trespass sign, and that its illegal to take pictures of animals in a barn. also that in most cases trespass is a misdemeanor. its not much help but its all i can find.

The purple paint is the same, but *someone correct me if I'm wrong* it won't hold up in a court of law. Meaning it's not a legal in the books and our consititution way of saying no trespassing, it just means the same. I really hope that made sense.

I think that one is due to what might actually be going on when taking pictures in a barn... It does get lonely and cold in the winter and all...

LOL! I read a little bit on why you cant tike pictures of barn animals, and it has to do with animal rights activists trespessing to get pics of "abused" work animals.

All barn animals aside I did find out that in missouri a civil suit can be brought against you if you get caught. this on top of any criminal charges.

I maintain that if you can run fast enough none of this will be an issue.
