Old church/synagogue near Plaza?

I lived in the KC area from 2000 to 2003. I used to drive past what appeared to be an old house of worship of some sort on my way to work. It's on the south side of either Blue or Swope Parkway about a half mile east of Prospect Avenue. The building has an arched roof that goes to the ground on the sides. Anybody been inside?

are you sure you are describing the location correctly? there is nothing like that there now; i ride my bike thru da hood around there; there is a baptist church nearby but nothing like you described

I'm positive. I used to work at the H&R Block service center on Blue Parkway and drove by it twice a day.

It's the big building to the east of Prospect.

Thinking about this area reminds me of the Gates BBQ just to the west of here. A beef and a half sounds so good right now.
