chesterfield manor (100+ pic slideshow)

Post by nerfdude »

warning: lots and lots of pics, and they were all shot from the hip, just using the af assist light to aim. definitely just about content, here. i just batch resized and uploaded them, so don't expect anything spectacular... also, photobucket mixed up the order of these for some reason, so they're not chronological either.

that said: here's a bunch of pics of Chesterfield Manor.

May have been an interesting place to see once upon a time - before the destructive forces of idiocy had struck.

Slideshow kind of sucked. Seems like you focused on the shitty graffiti.

I went there 3 days ago, and.. it's depressing how fucked up it is. The place is trashed.

Still smelled like old, dead people, though.

It's surprising how well it's boarded up.. and how many "No Trespassing"s you see.

When was the place abandoned?

I think it closed around 1996-1997ish. Since then, it's been destroyed to an unbelievable extent.

What a shame...Reminds me of a place in MA I went to this summer...was an old school for mentally retarded and physically challenged kids. Abandoned in 2001, and absolutely DESTROYED by teenagers graffiti and just flat out wrecking things...
