RE: Man eating birds in Alton?!
I was raised with yearly visits to this place in Alton Ill. I grew up hearing og the myth/legend that surrounds the Piasa Bird. Crazy Story though. Memory Machine and I visited Alton, and explored the city, it is a small town, but again it is one of the most haunted towns in America, so there are plenty of caves, quarries, and building to make a day out of.
It is right in downown Alton(though it did move a bit up river, and changed from the old metal sign to the painted rocks again, the old steel sign resides at Southwestern High School.
