When I was in highschool, my friend and I went snooping around the chase building to find the basement. Our earlier attempts to hit golf balls of the roof of the parking garage had been thwarted by a high parapet. Anyway, back then (the early 90's, you could snoop with ease. The back alley was empty, and pretty much all the basements were unoccupied. We had heard stories of a huge brick culvert on euclid, so we were trying to find out if we could get into it from a basement in one of the buildings on maryland plaza. We never got farther than the basement of the old saks building, but, a few years ago I was walking in the west end and saw an excavation in the middle of Euclid. Wouldn't you know it, there was a huge culvert running right down the middle. These days, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a way in, but you never know.

Sure it's not a sewer?

If not, hell, let's pop some manholes!

There is supposed to be a cave system right in that area.

Be nice to have a rig that looked like a city sewer truck.
