I forgot to post the poolside bandstand:

RE: What is this?
that is really cool that you hiked all thru the woods from Sunset to get there! i grew up in those woods along the river banks....there are some good trails along the river. great pics, glad someone found some parts of the old mansion grounds
Re: What is this?
Yeah apparently it's a fairly popular place to hike, I passed another hiker and his dog and a fisherman on my way back.
And hunt... saw 3 deer stands, scared 4 deer (all I saw of them were their tails as they ran away), and there were deer and raccoon tracks all over the place.

Re: What is this?
Boeing no longer owns the campus next to this. This year it was bought by a Catholic church out of CO for use as a school campus.

Just drove by and whatever it is now, it is currently being used and has gates.

It's always had gates. That's the reason I had to hike over from the park.VolcanoRaptor wrote: ↑Wed May 08, 2024 6:35 pm Just drove by and whatever it is now, it is currently being used and has gates.

Re: What is this?
Given that the internet assures me the statute of limitations has past for any trespassing claims and Boeing no longer owns the property... I may have fibbed about this part:
Truth is there were security motoring around the property in golf carts and I'm sure somebody was monitoring cameras, so I wasn't comfortable being too brazen, but I did poke about the campus and take some pics.

At that time I believe they were using the chateau as an event space.

Bout 12 years ago.
I'd think with it being a ministry campus now it might be easier to get in legitimately for a tour versus when Boeing owned it, especially if you're of the same religion.
