yeah it looks pretty shallow. If it were deeper the tree shadow would be down the side not on the floor of the pool. An old fountain sounds good. Let us know what you find Mandi.

I don't know why I didn't think about this, but that Boeing facility is gated. I think there are a few other ways in, So I will try again as soon as I can...

The Wiethaupt side may be easier, and should avoid Checkpoint Charlie.

Yeah I was gonna go that way, but it was also gated. No guard though, just a school. I didn't map my route for that way and it was getting dark so I am planning on another go at it next Saturday. It's only about another mile from there and it's a trail. I don't know why I didn't go that way in the first place!

If you use the history slider on google earth and put it at a time where there are less trees, you can really see the paths coming from both the school and the Boeing facility all to that one spot.. Strange....

Way back when, this estate had (still has?) a sunken, quite picturesque garden which was quite large and looked out upon the river. It was quite popular for wedding pictures. In fact, I recognize it from personal experience...
The estate itself was really something!

Why don't you park at the boat landing to the north of the place near the quarry and follow the river front south till you get to the trails for the place.

Annnd the survey says: Pool. And it's 6'-8' deep in the center. It's also not on Boeing's property, but within sight of it.

You can see the sign for Boeing's property line in the background, I didn't go on their property cause a security patrol motored up and stopped to watch while I took some pics of the pool. They didn't say anything, but they didn't leave till I turned back.

Fish Head Fountain next to pool:

It's a 2 mile hike from Sunset Park to that pool one way, so I got a lil hungry on my way.
