Those of you coming from Springfield or points in northern Arkansas may want to check around a bit regarding road closures. As of this morning, there were several major washouts from last night's storm.

At worst, have an alternate route handy!

Yeah, speaking of that: QUESTION.

Seeing as the water table is pretty close to the surface in Blowing Cave as it is, is it going to a sloppy, wet mess, or does it drain pretty fast?

Nah Cushman will be fine it's no diff than the last time u came down WR. It was extremely wet then when Sertile and I went in. I've been in there when it has been worse than it is now. Besides thats not the only place or thing we are doing we have four days. However that agenda will be discussed among the group present at the time.

Cushman is always a wet muddy mess either way u look at it! Thats part of the fun! Give me a call WR tomorrow!

Well, just for the record, I didn't intend to bail on this. Saturday night was the earliest I could come, and I couldn' t get anyone to answer the phone Friday night and tell me if anyone was still going to be hanging around and doing anything on Sunday (and I was going to be incommunicado all day Saturday). And Cushman's too far to drive down and then find out nobody's even going to be there to do anything with. So, that's why I didn't come.

Sertile wrote:Yeah, and that's just the entrance (which is several stories). The cave goes back a mile or two. Here's some background on the cave:

I was here over the weekend and the cave was significantly cleaner than I saw it in February; if this was you guys, you did a great job.

It's impossible to keep Cushman clean, but I always try to leave it a little cleaner than it was when I went in!
