Cinco De Mayo Pub Crawl!!!!!?

Post by Sertile »

Hey, would anyone be interested in doing the Cinco De Mayo pub crawl downtown? I think it's this Saturday night, though it could be next weekend. I'm not really clear on when it's being observed. In fact I forgot about it until today, since I'm not like a Mexican or anything.

Mexicans dont celebrate Cinco De Mayo. Oh, and if anybody needs a designated driver, I will do it, for a small fee.

I heard it's the 3rd.
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

Yeah, that's right. I checked and it is the third, which is this Saturday. They moved it up a couple of days since this year's Cinco is on a Lunes.

Can someone explain to me what is so great about pub crawls? I went to a couple of different ones about 5 years ago and thought it was annoying, overcrowded, and just generally not any fun. (oh yeah and the worst part was all the dumbass drunks running around)

Who knows, even Mexicans (not all hispanics) don't celebrate it.

If you think about it, only bars and nightclub really celebrate it anymore.

So basically it's another excuse to get liquored up and not feel guilty - like St. Patrick's Day. Works for me. :P

I don't need an excuse to get liqured up but then again I don't go out drinking much. I'm just not a big crowd person to be honest. I find the whole event of a pub crawl very taxing on our tax dollars that pay for the police to be out there monitoring everything. I guess I'm just jaded about the whole event.

(BTW, thank you Kit.)
