Re: STL BBQ
So no grill, no burgers, and no hotdogs? Wow! This is going to be the best Labor Day BBQ EVAR! Unfortunately I won't be joining you after all. No ride, and it turns out I'm too cheap/lazy to drive myself up there. Try to have fun (not eating food) without me (assuming anyone DOES show up)!

RE: STL BBQ
Myself, crazydrummerdude, redox, cringe, zippyelf and 2 of her friends.
We met at cottonbelt and waited around til 7pm. At about that time swarms of hobo's inundated the building all at once. Apparently they came from the adjacent hobo-hotel building. They made their presence known and at one point, crazydrummer narrowly avoided a confrontation with a bum who ran up on him unexpectedly but changed course once he saw crazydrummer wield a heavy pipe. At about 6:30 we relocated just outside cotton belt and waited for anyone else who might show up. At 7pm, the bums were apparent on multiple floors sticking their heads out the windows watching us and whatnot, so we determined to check out some other sights since none of us had brought any food anyway and we figured that those who would show up already had. We checked some stuff out and had a grand ol time.
I recommend removing cotton belt from future bbq considerations just because it's irritating having a bunch of crazy retards sneaking around behind your back...

Re: STL BBQ
or bring extra franks for the bums...
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

I vote for rescheduling. I can't do the weekend of Oct 3-5. That is Archon 32 and I've been pre-registered forever.
I'd really like to meet the rest of you guys.

Re: STL BBQ
What's Archon 32? Also, I would have relished the opportunity to fend off hordes of murderous bums. It sounds like a real Dawn of the Dead scenario, with Cotton Belt serving as the mall.

RE: STL BBQ
We made similar comments at the time and the bums were very creepy and mindless with blank stares, so they fit the role pretty well... In the end, we decided against it.
We should just stock up on weapons, go to cotton belt and go bum hunting!
