Branson odds and ends

Post by gimpface »

I’ve been bored and have been doing some light exploring in the Branson area lately and I though I’d share some finds. First up is an abandoned cellar of some sort near the dam on the Château side. This is just barely visible from the roadway.

I didn’t go in because there were some… things… moving around and growling in there. Probably baby buzzards, it wasn’t worth getting puked on to find out for certain.

Next up are these castings which are the last remnants of the original fish hatchery in downtown Branson. These can be found off the railroad tracks under the Roark creek bridge. There’s a homeless encampment there, and I think they’re using these to store their trash.

Lastly, here’s some interesting graffiti I found in a culvert near the charcoal plant.

It ain’t much, but it’s the first contribution I’ve had here for a good long time.

Cool cupcakes. Glad you’re getting out there, and not getting puked-on! :P

I’d like to spend more time in Branson…

Nice stuff! Welcome back to the fold.

If you want another lead to check out: I've been wondering if this gravel is a cave entrance or just from a drainage tunnel under the road. Haven't made it over there yet to check out. https://www.google.com/maps/@36.6849293 ... a=!3m1!1e3
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.

“That’s not the point. The point is, who will stop me?”

Looks like drainage, but who knows… next time I’m over that way I’ll check it out
