Anyone remember Reed Springs Junction before they put the current highway through that bypasses it? Well here are some pictures of Dinky's Dinner and of the old gas station at Reed Springs Junction.

Dinky's Diner interior. My girlfriend's friend said that when he was a child it was a really good place to eat.

Wow, I actually remember that place when it was open! We used to pass by there on the way to Branson when I was a kid, though we never actually ate there. Heard they had a really small bathroom or something, heh. How long as it actually been closed?

Well that's kind of tricky... I don't ever remember it being open since 1988 the first time my parents took us to Branson via US 160 and Hwy 13. Though my memory on somethings that far back isn't very good. It always looked closed and abandoned to me, though after not being by that way in a few years this last time it started to look really bad. BTW, there are tons of plastic cups behind the building with the logo on it. I'm gonna try heading by there again and grabbing some before they get torn up...

You know from the Pictures it looks like it might be a old Mobil Home ot a train car I wonder if there is a munue board with prices that would be good for a laugh

There's so much trash inside of the place and the floor is rotting I didn't want to go inside. But when I'm down there next time I'll try and see if there's a minue board of something and take a picture of it.

i remember that place being open when i was a kid. We always stopped..and still do ... at the place in Reed Springs where they have ice cream.

Hey I was inside Dinky's a few years ago. It is really messy and unstable inside but we looked around and got some pictures. I'll post them after I reduce them a bit. I also got have of the cups you mentioned.
