Who is still active on here?
Who is still active on here?
There are a handful of names that I see regularly on here but I would still love to see UO with the activity that it used to have: lots of information sharing, some possible meetups, new exploration postings, etc
Could we get a little soundoff on this post to get an idea of who's still active? It might make it easier to collaborate with each other by knowing who is still a regular on here. Thanks!

I lot of the old breed, guys who used to post back in the day like 10+ years ago have gotten older and moved on in life like raising families and work or have moved from the area. They can't really get around to explore anymore.
Also, all caving on public land has been banned since 2010 and the ban will be lifted in 2019, hopefully. Back in 2015, they extended the ban another four years. If all works out I think activity will pick up some. Keep your fingers crossed!

Yes the White Nose Syndrome on the bats is a lose-lose for everybody. Bat populations are dropping and caving has fallen off.
I just read an article about UV light possibly killing the bacteria so hopefully the populations will start recovering soon and the caves will be reopened!

I live in Texas, but I travel to OK and AR fairly often, so I’m not as active on here as I am on a couple other sites. That said, I still like to check in from time to time and I’m still a very active explorer. If any of you guys make it to DFW, I’m happy to show you around!

I went adventuring with some folks from the forum a decade ago, was lots of fun. If I'm traveling through an area I still log in the website to read up regarding the particular area. This website is still an excellent resource.......

This.
More online investigation than onsite exploration these days.
