Eureka Springs. Train tunnel

Post by arkie 123 »

After all the years? I found the train tunnel north of Eureka.. I know several of you have been there. Super neat place. I had no clue you could drive almost to it. I have the GPS and road numbers if anyone wants to PM me.

Split and I drove to it last year. Cool place. Was the yellow crime scene tape still strung up inside?

Are you talking about the one at holliday island? If so we tried to find it and ended up on top of it. It was awesome. We then later found the road below it. :) :)

Was there a crime committed inside?

Do any of y'all have any photos ready to post of it? Thanx! I've been to Eureka several times & haven't a clue which tunnel you're referring to. *SIGH* I'm so out of the loop, lol.

I was in the tunnel yesterday. Back in themiddle where the cave in is? There are some really big rocks about to fall. I was told, where is a cave above the tunnel. You can see where they have tried to brace the ceiling at that point. Still wet on the far side.

Thanx so much for the pix. I'm sure they were on here somewhere I just wasn't looking right I guess, I didn't know to look for them anyways but thank you again for sharing them. They're really awesome! I do hope, however, the poor little froggy found someplace warm, unless of course it liked the cold, lol. 8) Totally great pix.
