Interesting Feature - What Is It??
Interesting Feature - What Is It??
Found this interesting feature on Google Earth at 35.993788°, -93.380835°. Appears to be a gorge with possibly a waterfall. Located approx. 1.6 miles NE of the intersection of Hwys. 21 and 43 on a heading of 47 degrees. This local is SW of Ponca, Ark. Thanks for any information.

RE: Interesting Feature - What Is It??
Sorry Brouser - no cigar! The feature I'm trying to determine is approx. 5 miles SW of Hemmed-In-Hollow. It shows to be located on the Buffalo River Trail. If you go half way between Boxley and Ponca, Ark. on Hwy. 43, then look south across the Buffalo River approx. 1/2 mile. Tim Ernst just told me it is a waterfall. However, looks interesting and could be a good location for caves.

On Wikimapia, it is shown as Eden Falls. It is near the Lost Valley trailhead.

Upper Buffalo along the south side of the river. Hike the trail and see whats there. Betting if you search you can find some pictures.

The little hollow isn't named on any of the old or new topo maps that I can find.
