I thought it was already gone. Yeah, a new Quick Trip was really needed. There's a perfectly good gas station right across the interstate to the south. I was never that impressed with the structure, but it's got a lot of memories for a lot of people. RIP Camelot.

Especially when there's a QT on 45th and Peoria and one at 36th and Peoria. Oh well, this one will be closer to where I live, if I live here when they open it, that is.

kinda like the Storage Places that keep showing up and yes i know people need places to store thing btu HOW many are less than 25% full yet we keep building more andf bigger ones the one in pacific is actually a inside storage area

I figure the best storage facility is the corner of a flea market with a "for sale" sign on it. heh heh

As of today (Tuesday) the northern part of the building is gone, all that remains is the "tower" on the southern end. The entire hotel would have been demolished by now if not for the ice storm that crippled the city last week.

So when are we going to get those interior pics? I never made it into the place while it was running or when it was closed. Damned shame to see it go.

I guess my family went there twice when I was little bitty. To bad the place didn't stay open the jousting was pretty awesome.

You sure you're not thinking of The Castle of Muskogee? They had/have Renaissance type events there. The Camelot was always just a motel as far as I know and they didn't have room to do Jousting.

but they had a really cool shaped pool like a sheild ot a arrow ot who knows what

I drove by last night and the last part of the building has been demolished.

Well, RIP to a big, funky, monument to trashy architecture. I'd have loved to have gotten in there.
