IMP Boats

This is kinda lame and the pics aren't that great, but here is the old IMP Boat plant in Iola. I think it closed in the mid-eighties. I know some guys that used to work there and I remember them making boats. These were top-of-the-line cruisers, built for big-water. You didn't even see many of them in Kansas. You'd see them on really big lakes like T Rock, Ozark and Grand. It wasn't a good time to enter tonight, as it was not quite dark and a plant nearby had just let out. The pics didn't turn out good as it was raining and poorly lit.
