Cadillac Ranch, Bug Ranch
Cadillac Ranch, Bug Ranch
I stopped by these 2 places on my way to Colorado so I thought i'd share them with ya. I found out the current Cadillac Ranch is not the original location. They had to move the cars 2 miles west because the city of Amarillo was closing in on them. Still intresting.
Re: Cadillac Ranch, Bug Ranch
so are you saying they had ot "DIG" up the cars and replant them elseware????? wow wonder what the part that is under ground looks like???

Yeah, there is a link to the news article on this page. http://www.libertysoftware.be/cml/cadil ... crabtr.htm At least we know the part underground is not vandalized and is original paint.

Been to the Cadillac Ranch (in fact you might find my name on one of the cars), missed the Bug Ranch.

I'm gonna make a hillbilly ranch one of these days. Anybody got an old clunker to donate?
Re: Cadillac Ranch, Bug Ranch
I think in order to have a hillbilly ranch, you have to half bury hillbillies in your yard. I know some I can recommend.

That's a cool idea. And I thought my "camera on a string" was cool.

That kite rig is amazing, I want one. How cool would that be, can't be all that complicated if you checked out the schematics on his site.I wouldn't send my new camera up but maybe a crappy one...
I am gonna try the directions from this link this week and see how it goes...just have to get over making the film advance
I have tons of 35mm cameras and even a few digitals lying around,I'll see what I can do, kinda my own version of a Mythbusters experience.
