So many pages...

So, after I heard you were thinking of maybe splitting up the MO forum, I went to see how many pages it was... well, I thought it was two, originally, but now I see that it's SEVEN! Then I figured out that it's just not displaying as many posts per page as it used to. Do you know what might be causing this? I can't think of anything I would've done, and I haven't made any changes to my browser in some time.

I think I know what happened... White Rabbit has changed the amount of posts that show up on each page. He's made fewer posts per page thus rasing the number of pages they are on. It makes it "easier" to check the past posts. It's a psyclogical trick to make your mind think your consuming and keeping track of less information when your browsing.

Er, heh, yeah, Willard's right. Sorry, I guess I should've said something about doing it.

When you were talking about the little rabbit-head icons and you said you hadn't scrolled down that far, I realized, "Holy crap, there's like 50 topics on this page." I never realized I had it set that high, so I moved it from 50 topics per page to 15. I just figured the pages would load a little quicker, and it's not like anyone was posting to the topics at the bottom of the page anyway.

Do you guys think 15 is good for a page, or should I move the number up more?

I'd say 15 is good, but 25 may be better. Gives you a good overview if alot of topics were added that day, or if you don't visit the site for a few days.
