I ran into that same thing when Monkeywrench was taking classes at the community college... the stuff that they accepted there as "College grade" would have been barely marginal at 8th grade level at the school I went to!

The P51 was nice, but set up for airshows, not exactly hitsorically restored.

Oh, and I think I wrote F15, it was actually an F18.

I don't personally fly. I took ground school a year ago, but never got my private pilots license. Mainly because, ground school was (only) $200, and to get a license, you need 40 hours of flying. Flying, at the time, for a C152 was more than $100/hour. For a 172, it was like $150, and I wonder why people bothered paying that much more for the same license. Then again, a class-mate was a middle aged guy who owns a big chunk of Missouri. Guess money was no obstacle. Although driving (and thinking) was, because every class, he'd have to ask other students how to get back to the highway (literally 1 street away), and he DROVE HIMSELF THERE.

One day, I'll take the FAA test and get my license.

It's about $210 a lesson out here. I want to fly for a living so I took ground school last year about this time and will be starting flying again as soon as finances allow.
