Here's my beer of choice...Trippel:
Just tried Trippel GC, and all I can say is BLAHHG!! It started off ok, but that after taste is just nasty! I want to scrap the taste off my tongue, cause it won't go away.

Seriously, the coriander after taste is a little rough on some palates.

Coriander? Seriously? Coriander = cilantro. Love me some cilantro.

Yes, I had to suck on a cock to get the taste out of my mouth... and by "cock" I mean my smirnoff lemonade.GlassCurtain wrote:haha yeah I figured! That's usually the consensus from people who lack male genitals.

There's this show on NPR called the Splendid Table. They had a segment about why some people think cilantro tastes soapy. It was interesting.BROUSER wrote:Coriander? Seriously? Coriander = cilantro. Love me some cilantro.
Basically there is a strong association between taste and experience. Cilantro contains the same aldehydes that is found in soap and many bugs. So as a kid if you grew up in an environment where cilantro was used you would associate it with food. On the other hand if you didn't encounter cilantro much as a kid you would associate it with soap and other things you encounter with the same aldehydes.

Strange. No cilantro in my house growing up. Then again, mom did make a mean Ivory casserole.

Hey I may have found a beer that doesn't immediately cause me to gag, and kinda tastes goodish... for a beer.

Yeah, I don't know what it is about this one that makes it so palpable to me. I still get the beer taste, but it's to a lesser degree than most I've tried. Yet, it's not like the berry flavor is just super overwhelming or anything for me. First beer in a long time that I was able to finish the whole bottle.
