Regional bands for online radio show?

Post by testube »

So, I've been running this online radio show for a few months now, playing only regional Ozark acts from AR/MO and occasionally nearby areas like Lawrence, Kansas and KC. The show is called Outbreak in the Ozarks and specializes in alternative, underground, indie, and some electronic stuff. (We figured that country, bluegrass, blues, and classic rock type bands get enough exposure in our area already...)

I've yet to run out of good tunes to play, but figured I'd ask for suggestions. If you know of any good regional bands that I should be spinning, please post a link here!

Thanks in advance. :)

Oh, and here's the link to the show, if you wanna hear it:

Some great local acts featured. You'll need the Mixcloud app if listening on a mobile device.

I like the show. I really liked the last one. Listened to it two or three times.

hey, thanks man! Forcing myself to only play bands in our area has really opened up my eyes. There are a ton of excellent bands in our region doing really interesting things. If you know of any good alternative acts in your town that I haven't played, let me know!

Don't think I'll make it. Wish I could. Organization I volunteer with is having a 5k fund raiser that day.
