My husband dropped an angle grinder on his leg a few years ago.

I know right? He could have severed an artery too. He was really lucky. Needless to say his dumbass will not use an angle grinder without a guard ever again!! He would probably be pissed off he knew I posted this here but fuck 'em..lol..
A friend of mine had the same thing happen to his face while he was at work. He is waiting on a fat check!! |

I use an angle grinder a lot, they have to be one of the more dangerous shop tools. On occasion the cutting wheel will explode on them, thatll scare the shit outta ya. Always use the guard! _________________ THE THREAD KILLER! |

Though not as raw as cutting body parts with saws, I did have an incident happen that makes one cringe.
You know that computer paper with the perforated strips on the side you always tear off? Well when I was in 6th or 7th grade I had ripped a few of those strips off and put them in my mouth so they were laying flat, hanging out both sides of my mouth. My then friend (who's an asshole, stay tuned) came up behind me and quickly pulled those paper strips out, giving me paper cuts at both corners of my mouth.
Seriously, I felt like this chick |

| PANIC! on the Titanic wrote: | | PANIC! on the Titanic wrote: | So one day, my friends and I went on a canoe trip on the Big Piney. It was just going to be an 8 mile trip, the goal of which was to find and rappel a good size cliff. So we parked my vehicle at the finish point and my friend's vehicle at the put in point. We took off and goofed around for the first mile or two until we found a nice set of bluffs to climb.
So okay, we park our canoes and climb to the top of this giant bluff, hoping we have enough rope to get ourselves back down to the bottom. We are several hundred feet above the river by this point. Each of us has a good couple of rappels, and it is climbing back up that the first accident occurs. I was climbing back up unroped on an easier bouldering path, and my friend was right below me. I was about halfway up the first cliff bench when the rock I was standing on broke off and I had to slam my body into the cliff to keep from falling down, into my friend, and then ultimately the ground, perhaps even the river if we rolled that far. So I gashed my knee and got a really bad dead-leg, and had to wait a minute to get feeling back in it. Also, my friend had a gash in the head from where the broken rock had fallen and hit him. When we got to the top, I assessed my injuries:
Pretty cool huh? So that was the end of that cliff. I was starting to bleed a good amount and we had another like, 4 hours to get back to my vehicle. So we got in our canoes again and started paddling, me trying to stop bleeding. We had to rip up a good T shirt to make a tourniquet, but after a while the thing was completely red and my leg was covered in blood. Now it was getting kind of serious; I couldn't stop bleeding. Well, the way I figure it, I probably won't bleed like that again for a long time, so I may as well have some fun with it. We climbed onto a train bridge and I had my fun:
Yeah, that is all 100% blood. No dyes, paints, pastels or related coloring devices. My medium is blood. Okay, so we kept on going down river, and I had to change tourniquets again. We made it to the takeout point by nightfall, several hours later. I was quite pale by then. But lo, there was one more setback: my keys... yeah they're in my friend's car 10 miles upstream. Crap.
Long story edited and shortened, it took us 7.5 hours after I started bleeding to get back to my dorm. By then I was getting pale, was on my 2nd tourniquet, had a headache and my leg looked like this:
Those were my friend's shoes, which I borrowed that morning because I didnt want to ruin mine.
And yes that is a smiley face to the right of my knee.
What a great day! |

This trip looked like fun, up until the fall and leg problem. Looks like you ripped the leg open. WOW! |
