I know this is going to be vague. The last time I went to this place, I was probably 9 or 10. My dad and his girlfriend were taking me and my brothers up to Kansas City and there was this old mansion on this hill that you could see the top of from the highway. It was really, really old and my dad wouldn't let us go in. Just him. He was gone for a REEEEALLY long time. I was really freaked out, thinking something got him. (Remember I was like, 9.)
Anyway, he finally came back out running like his life depended on it. Seeing my 6'7", 300lb father running like that, scared me to death. I remember how he described the inside of it with decaying floors and stairs falling apart. Supposedly, there was an in-ground pool put in and one day one of the daughters of the family drowned in it and, unfortunately, I can't really remember anything else he told me about it.
Now, my dad liked to kind of exaggerate his stories so I thought I would atleast post it up and see if anyone is familiar with any of it.
Again, I know it's vague, but I'm just posting everything I know. If anyone knows anything, please let me know. _________________ Obviously you're not a golfer. |

In-ground pool in the backyard. Like, a pond. I'm thinking this was early 1900's. Again, I can't be sure. _________________ Obviously you're not a golfer. |

If you don't get any bites on here, try this site: http://www.kcurbex.org/forum/ Some of members there used to post here a lot. Looks like they don't have much for exploring made available to the public though. _________________ "Oh my God! Wal-mart's going to march on Poland!" ~ Lewis Black

The only bummer about trying that site is that the only forums you can see if you aren't a member is the movie and music forums. And I don't know a full member so I can't get anyone to invite me to join. I'm just hoping that this thread might jog someone's memory.
It's so annoying not being able to remember where it is or anything about it. _________________ Obviously you're not a golfer. |

No, I thought maybe that might have been it, but it's a house, brick, 2 stories, maybe even 3. In an old neighborhood. I'm thinking it might have been torn down. I wouldn't doubt it. It's was very old and this was more than 13/14 years ago. _________________ Obviously you're not a golfer. |

| I'm pretty sure you have to meet them to become full member. I wasn't a full member until I met them. |

From the general description and the legend about the little girl drowning it sounds like Sauer Castle maybe?
