RE: How did you Discover Underground Ozarks?
Hey everyone, newbie here. I have been somewhat fascinated with stuff like this from the time I started watching Monster Quest on the History channel my first year of college. Also my history teacher at school would tell urban legends about Winoka Lodge, the Albino Farm, and Hatchet Bridge every year around Halloween. I googled Albino Farm one night and found this website.

Sub told me about it. Took me awhile to actually check it out and then even to post.
Love that st Louis has so many treasures worth exploring. Now if we could only save more of them from taggers... Graffiti has its place - on the flood wall downtown!

A friend planned a meet-up down here in Springfield and linked me here to help me research the places we were headed...I'd been to the Jordan Creek tunnel before, and a few others, but the KC guys schooled me...

I found the site after exploring Winoka Lodge based on a tip from a friend. Googled "old Girl Scout Camp" or something like that. Ended up here. My life hasn't been the same since. I blame WR.

a librarian in spfd MO told me about the site a few years ago, and i made an account recently.

I stumbled upon this site when developing my most evil crime against society, removing cherries from chocolates and replacing them with mayonnaise.

that's not nearly creative or nefarious enough. Paul, you suck at this.

Re: How did you Discover Underground Ozarks?
An old thread, I know, so my apologies in advance.
I just created an account today. I discovered this site by doing online searches relating just this sort of thing, of interesting places. I've looked through the galleries, and so far it looks like quite a few interesting finds.
Only thing I really dont care to see is the damage people often deliberately do to such sites. True, these places are going to fall apart and weather over time, but in some pics you can see where people have gone in and smashed things up or tagged the places with spray paint.

I discovered it in a thread on Bannister Mall closing on a Chiefs message board.
RE: How did you Discover Underground Ozarks?
I was on a caving trip and someone was talking about it so I checked it out. I'm glad that I did.

I've been on UER.ca and KCurbex for a short while and they both seem really dead. I'm looking for some cool people to explore with, I hope I can find some here. I use the same name and avatar on both sites so you can check me at either one.
