Post by iamhere »

Anyone been to the big AT&T building and tower outside of Mounds? Supposed to have an underground bunker?

There's a place like that in Dow, Illinois. They say it's 7 stories underground and secretly used by the government.
I need to hit the lottery or beat up the guy who does.

Mounds Oklahoma was an Autovon site.

It was a redundant voice switching site for the Military during the cold war. There were replaced in the 90's by the Defense switched network.

Mounds is unique because most of the equipment was left in place.

There are other locations in Oklahoma that were long lines sites that are really interesting.
