Fire in Aban Warehouse North of Arch
RE: Fire in Aban Warehouse North of Arch
Several years ago I delivered food and supplies to two men living in that warehouse about 4-5 stories up. They were living in total darkness in the back of some cut-out refrigeration units. My friend and one other homeless person who went to take their food to them were told by some other homeless people (pre-Dignity Harbor/Sparta/Hopeville days) to keep as quiet as possible because if the people living on the top floor heard us in "their" building, they'd try to kill us. Never went back in that building after that incident, but good lord was it cold.
Until you have courage to lose sight of the shore, you'll not know the terror of being forever lost at sea.

Went down to visit the old Freight Depot a few weeks ago and walked around this particular building. Could hear a number of people inside, and smelled like they were BBQ-ing. One guy was sitting outside, almost watching over the place.
