only shoe factory I know of is out 270 east of town. Don't know if it's abandoned. If so, it hasn't been for very long. There was an old nursing home on 5 at county line, but they bulldozed it. Was a strip mall just north of 5&7 junction but it's been purchased and put back to use.

I was talking to a guy in Hot Springs 2 or 3 years ago and he said there is a shoe factory that had one Indian mound next maybe more I can't remember. I could have been mistaken and thought it was abandoned shoe factory or he may have been wrong. It was on one of the highways leading away from Hot Springs I couldn't remember if he said it was 7 or 270 or 5. I think it was more like highway 7 or 270.

Also, the old man said it was right next to national forest property. Like on the border of it.

It may be the Munro & Company shoe plant in mt. ida that was shuttered 4 years ago. Can someone find me an address for the place.
alternatively it could be the red wing shoe plant also in mt. ida. If i could get an address for both that would be awsome!

Munro - look for ball park road in mount ida. The plant was first place on the left off the highway. Pretty populated area.
