Only had my cell phone to take pics with though, so not the best, but not bad. Posting them soon.
Those are damn good for a cell actually! I didn't even know until I saw this.

Yeah, not too bad, I resized them down to 75% size and sharpened the pics a bit.

Those are awesome shots, Nic!
I lost a Tamagachi keychain-pet-thing off that stupid bridge when I was 11.

Stupid bridge.

By the way, the first 4 pages of this thread had me laughing out loud here at the office.
I got some weird stares.

Too fucking funny.

Yeah, when I was over there this past saturday the dike was only visible to just past where that giant tree lays across it. Course the river only came up about 2 feet, the dike itself is pretty level and easily submerged.

There were motorcycle tours riding across the old cor bridge that day too, i didn't know they still allowed that.

I still like GC's stilts idea best. Either that or we get us a cumshootingzombiezep.

I liked the stilts, too.

But probably the funniest was the two choppers. Reading that post had me rolling.

I happened upon this pic of Intake Tower 1, Chain of Rocks. Had not seen this particular shot before.

Just FYI

It looks like behind Tower #2 (the one one the Mo side). Must have been shortly after the tower was constructed, while the dike was still in good condition.

Did they build a coffer dam around the towers when they were constructing them? Cause that's what it looks like those steps in the background are going up.

If so they may be standing on the back wall of the dam.

It looks like the dike extends out from shore to a point sound/downstream of the tower, then cuts north/upstream to meet the tower foundation. Looks like they are standing on the north/south section of the dike.

IMHO
