You actually have to put the key in the lock and lock it. That's a total pain in the ass, especially in the winter. I'm surprised I haven't broken the key off in there yet.
I just hold the latch in as I'm closing the door.

This was actually my biggest concern with getting electronic ignition when I needed to replace my distributor. It wasn't the original, someone in the 70s put an obnoxious dual point distributor on it and constantly needed adjustment. Eventually some screws got stripped out and I replaced them, but unfortunately, the ones I used to replace them were too long and caused the advance or something in the lower part of the distributor to get all fucked up and necessitated replacement. I suppose I could have tried getting an OEM points distributor to replace it.

Sounds like an isolated incident with your specific vehicle, like a cracked coil or something.

Never had problems with my points.

I probably didn't have a great seal on the distributor cap. It would get condensation inside and make it misfire. Either way, electronic ignition is all around just better.

The only thing I hate about my car is it has 2 seat/mirror memory settings that don't work, so when you hit the buttons it resets the drivers side mirror to position "0" aka all the way down and towards the car. This wouldn't be a problem if the buttons were out of the way, but they put them raised next to the seat so I end up hitting them with my leg or foot almost every time I get in or out of the car.

First world problem of the day: No spare electrical outlets to plug Christmas lights into at work. Being inconvenienced by having to run an extension cord. Ugh.

My second computer monitor broke down. I had to drive 1 hour round trip to pick up someone's unused monitor that they gave me for free, and I went a whole day with only a single computer monitor. It was like losing an eye for a day.

Though I suppose most of y'all have been use your iThumbDrive with a screen all day long. I think if I used one of those things, it would be like having cataracts all my life with some strange compulsion to touch my eyeball with my fingers. Does that make me second world that I haven't been trapped into one of those talky phone like devices. You kids and your new fangled toys.
