Move the street view map around. There is one to the east at a school that is still in use. I guess they used these because of the train tracks that are right next to the road.Fiend wrote:I know exactly what your talking about. Its in Sand Springs. The school is abandoned and has been for a long time. There are many pictures of it on the web. I saw that tunnel entrance, its right in front of the school. I always wondered what it was, but never checked it out though. Although, the strange thing is, I dont where the other side is, the steps go down on the south side of the road, but I havent been able to find where they come back up on the other side of the road. Odd...

Tunnel for a school/church? ...hmmmm... sounds kind of eerie, no? I've heard rumors that there are tunnels at Oral Roberts University. Sounds like some awesome religious conspiracy stuff I would love to investigate.
Re: small tunnel in tulsa
Oh yes, I have heard the same thing. I know many people who go to school there, no reports of tunnels, although most all colleges have steam and utility tunnels, but I believe these tunnels may be just for transportation purposes, much like the ones downtown. One of these days I will try to debunk the rumor... It wouldnt surprise me if it were true.alyybee wrote:Tunnel for a school/church? ...hmmmm... sounds kind of eerie, no? I actually just talked to a friend last night that went there for 2 years. He said he found the tunnels and he and his friends used to smoke pot down there all the time.

Re: RE: small tunnel in tulsa
I found out what that tunnel was for and why it isnt on the north side anymore. Sand Springs used the rails going down that street for passenger rail cars. There was a rail station on the north side of Charles Page directly across the street from that school. The tunnel lead to that train station which is now gone. It was called the "Medio Station". There were several like it along the tracks in Sand Springs.OkieMan wrote: Move the street view map around. There is one to the east at a school that is still in use.
