Thank you! Some people believe they only show up before or after an earthquake. China had them pop up before the big ass earthquake/tsunami. I call that a coincidence though.

BTW they were shot at Fountain Lakes off 370 and Elm. If you haven't walked around there, you should. I always feel a strange sense of history when I'm there, but I don't know why. If you walk over the bridge, and to the right, you get to walk under some pretty creepy bridges. I would wait till it dries up though if you go that way. There was a lot of mud when I went. To the left is ok though. There's also a place to park by a semi-abandoned skate park, but I haven't figured out how to get there yet. I like where I park because it's right in the middle though. I think there's like 5 lakes and a creek (stream right now).

Wait, that skate park is abandoned now? I used to go there pretty often. If only things like that existed around where I grew up, I'd be halfway decent at it by now.

People still skate there but no one watches over it or anything. The last time I saw it, there was graffiti everywhere. They cleaned up that whole area though so I'm not sure if they cleaned that place up too.

Re: RE: Best Sunrise/Sunset pics
oh wait.. there's a big difference between "earth lights"/"earthquake lights" and refracted sunlight. The former can happen at night time. I am inclined to believe that some of the reported "spooklights" are a form of earth lights.Mandi Milenko wrote:Thank you! Some people believe they only show up before or after an earthquake. Are you talking about this video? Yeah, that may well be a coincidence ..but maybe not: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KKMTSDzU1Z4

RE: Best Sunrise/Sunset pics
I looked up "rainbow clouds" and a bunch of stuff popped up about the earth quake. That's why I mentioned it. I didn't see that video though.
I'm pretty sure the ones I took were the setting sun bouncing off rain clouds though.

Creve Coeur lake on the west side by the ball park (off Creve Couer Mill Rd.) is a great place for sunrises.
